Graduate Rural Surveyor

Salary – Competitive

We are looking for a Graduate Rural Surveyor to join our Land Agency Team.

As an assistant within our vibrant Land Agency Team, you will be involved in all aspects of modern day land management, including valuations, BPS claim, compensation claims, sales and purchases, succession and tax advice, AMC loan applications, telecom masts, planning and development, Contract Farm Agreements and Tenancies.  Your work will take you throughout Suffolk, Essex and South Norfolk, as well as further afield on occasions.

You will be provided with full support for your CAAV exams, as well as RICS APC training.  The practical experience you gain will ensure that you are well placed to progress through your professional qualifications.  You will be working with David Brooks (National CAAV President) and Chris Leney, founding Partners of the firm, as well as other colleagues.  You will be expected to become part of the team and to “muck in” when needed.

In addition to your salary, you will be paid for business mileage incurred and your CAAV and RICS subscriptions will also be paid, as well as exams fees and relevant training costs.  You will be entitled to 21 days holiday, plus Bank Holidays. Driving licence, car owner and excellent IT skills are essential.

We are looking for a long term commitment and the ideal candidate will be one who intends to remain in the Suffolk and north Essex area after qualifying.

We are looking for a 1 – 5 year post qualified rural surveyor to join our expanding and experienced  team. As well as dealing with client work you will have the opportunity to be involved in the development and strategic direction of the business, with partnership opportunities being available for the right person. The successful candidate will be both FAAV and MRICS qualified and must be confident and competent to give advice on a wide range of professional matters.

Chartered Town Planner

Salary – Competitive

We are looking for experienced MRTPI qualified Town Planners with 5+ years post qualification experience.  You will have either public or private sector experience with a proven track record of successfully dealing with a range of minor and major development management projects.  As a firm, our focus is rural and experience of working on rural planning matters in East Anglia is therefore desirable but not essential.  You will be a highly motivated and organised individual who will have responsibility for a full caseload  of clients.  You will be personable, professional and approachable.  You must have excellent attention to detail, be a good communicator and be a team player.

The successful candidate will provide a comprehensive planning consultancy service to clients including the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals, coordination of specialist consultants, promotion of land through the Local Plan process, feasibility advice and representation of clients at committees/hearings/public inquiries.  You will also have the opportunity to be involved in the development and strategic direction of the business with partnership opportunities for the right person.

Driving licence, car owner and excellent IT skills are essential. We will consider applicants looking for a full time or part time role.
