Emily is originally from Chelmsford, where whilst having no family links to farming, she developed an interest in agriculture, which was supported by her school’s curriculum and close links to Writtle College. On moving to Suffolk in 2016, Emily acquired a small flock of sheep, which she has developed to a flock of 250. To manage these Emily trained two border collies, becoming involved in trialing locally and demonstrating at the Suffolk Show.
Emily gained a BSc (Hons) in Wildlife, Ecology and Conservation Science, with a particular focus on soil microbiology in agricultural environments. She will be supporting Beth Duchesne on a range of agricultural matters, including farm management advice, business structures and environmental schemes.
Outside of work, Emily enjoys hiking, tennis and skiing; she is currently learning to snowboard
